William & Mary gumwood kas. The kas is in three parts. The upper part sports a widely flaring cornice. The center has a pair of raised paneled doors opening to a shelved interior. Below is a single long drawer faced to simulate two drawers on frontal bun feet and bracket feet behind. The kas sports a warm old finish, original feet and the original cornice. It is a handsome example of a William & Mary kas. The bun feet are exceptionally beautiful. The kas is in very good condition, with a slight warpage to one door. Circa 1720-1740, New York/New Jersey.
