Queen Anne Tiger Maple Highboy

240183C

Queen Anne tiger maple highboy. The top section has an applied molded cornice over four long graduated drawers. The bottom section has a single drawer with a carved fan, simulated to look like three drawers. The apron sports acorn drops and is supported by cabriole legs ending in pad feet. The brasses are old replacements. The highboy is in very good condition, marred only by a tight shrinkage crack on the proper right side of the upper section and by the normal wear and rear from age and usage. Circa 1760-1780, New England.
