Pilgrim Period blanket chest. The blanket chest sports a scratch-carved front, cotter pin hinges, a scalloped apron and a footed base with shaped sides. The chest is in good condition, with an attractive old warm surface, traces of earlier color and wear commensurate with age. One hinge has been moved or replaced. Circa 1700, New England.
