Early hooded step-back cupboard, pine. This one-piece cupboard sports old red paint, an unusual hooded crest with applied molding over three fixed shelves and a base with two paneled doors opening onto two fixed shelves. Hooded cupboards are hard to find and are indicative of an early form. The cupboard is in good condition, with wear commensurate with age and usage. Early 19th century, New England.
