Fine and rare Massachusetts Queen Anne tavern table with a one-board pine top, a single drawer, and nicely shaped cabriole legs ending in pad feet. The table is in its original condition and dates from about 1740.
This table was owned by Edna Greenwood of Time Stone Farm, Marlborough, MA, part of whose collection was given to the Smithsonian Institute. The table was pictured in Greenwood's house when its contents were illustrated in Magazine Antiques, June 1951.
