Black doll with wax head and hands, cloth body and feet, glass eyes, no identifying marks. The dress is not original but is worn over what might possibly be the original dress and booties. There is a "button" in the back that suggests that the doll once cried or perhaps talked, but this feature is no longer working. The doll probably dates from the first half of the 20th century and is most likely English or American.
