A decorated one-gallon stoneware jar with cover. The jar is decorated with a floral motif and is stamped, "Hudson River Pottery/West 12th Street/Roche Brothers Agts." (The Hudson River Pottery would later be purchased by the better-known Lewis Lehman and William Macquoid and would be operated as the "Pottery Works".) The jar is in very good condition, marred only by a few small rim chips.Circa 1845.
