Two-gallon cylindrical stoneware jar. The jar is decorated in cobalt blue with an unusual design of two cherries hanging from a leafy stem. The jar is stamped, "Pottery Works/Little Wst 12th St., NY." along with a "2". This pottery was owned by William Macquoid. The jar is in very good condition, marred only a single tight hairline extending down about 3" from the rim. Circa 1863-1879.
