Pair of naïve portraits of a man and a woman in a green dress, unframed, oil on canvas.

The portraits have been laid down on masonite. Circa 1830-1840, American school, probably New England.

The woman has had some in-painting, mainly around her hair and in the middle of her dress. The stretcher is new. The man has had some minor inpainting, largely around his hair, as well as a few small patches. Both portraits have some minor craquelure.
