An unusual make-do wing chair rocker made from an 18th century 5-slat armchair.
The chair sports early turnings on all the posts, sausage turnings on the front stretcher and the original black paint. The rockers were added later and the chair was upholstered with 18th century linsey woolsey, (blue, with cream on the reverse). The rush seat under the seat cushion is probably original. This chair is quite an early conversion and is very comfortable to sit in. It is in ready-to-use condition, with some minor defects in the upholstery.
Dimensions: 18” seat height, 43” total height.
