Excellent folk art graphite drawing of a haying scene, unsigned.
The drawing is done in considerable detail, including several men haying, a horse and wagon, farm houses, cows and deer. It also includes a Hudson River scene, with sailboats, mountains, and a church on the shore. The drawing is based on a well-known painting by Jasper Cropsey, known as "American Harvesting", painted in 1851. It is in very good condition, with only three small abrasions. The frame is original, with old wavy glass. Circa 1855, Hudson River school.
