Very early 4-slat ladderback armchair. The armchair sports untouched red paint, with wear consistent with age and usage, flat arms, early finials on both front and rear uprights and a good rush seat. The chair was strengthened at one point with iron rods – part of its history. A 250 year-old survivor! Circa 1760-1780, New England.
